Description :
Cranberries are widespread in many European regions and in the Italian hills and mountains (especially in the Alps and in the northern Apennines). They prefer sun with partial shade. Native Americans have used them for decades because of their nutritional and medicinal properties, as well as their flavour: they’re a real cure-all when dealing with urinary tract infections, breathing problems and are even anticancer.
The flavonoids contained in cranberries can contribute to the reduction of cardiac problems, thus improving heart health; they can reduce the possibility of contracting atherosclerosis, which limits the arterial flux with the accumulation of plaques: the absence of oxygen in arteries causes a heart attack or an ictus.
